Awesome book, very knowledgeable and realistic author!

This book is really helpful; there is something in it for everyone regardless of experience level. Garrett discusses all of the important elements of classroom management and shows practical ways to implement best practices into your own teaching! It's an easy read that will help any teacher improve his or her craft. Her philosophy of valuing a more preventative approach rather than reactionary approach to classroom management will save you lots of headaches while helping you create a more positive and effective learning environment.

Valuable Resource!

As a student teaching supervisor, year after year, I watch beginning teachers struggle with classroom management. This book is an extremely valuable resource. The author has a clear, concise and very practical approach to classroom management. I will definitely use this as my required text for students during student teaching.

Must Read!

As an experienced teacher, I bought this book as a refresher on classroom management. It was an easy read with tons of practical strategies! I have some great ideas for the new school year. Also, I think this is definitely a must read for all new teachers. This would have been so helpful during my first few years of teaching!
