From Publishers Weekly
Wallace, a freelance radio producer for the BBC in London, takes three simple words uttered by a stranger on a bus-"say yes more"-as a challenge and says "yes" to everything for a year. He says "yes" to pamphleteers on the street, the credit card offers stuffing his mailbox and solicitations on the Internet. He attends meetings with a group that believes aliens built the pyramids in Egypt, says "yes" to every invitation to go out on the town and furthers his career by saying "yes" in meetings with executives. The potential for enlightenment and insight into the human condition abounds, yet Wallace doesn't dig deep. Mostly, he covers his relationships with his male friends and former and current girlfriends. While the writing is lively enough-arch and full of colorful British slang-the minutiae of Wallace's world won't fascinate readers as much as it seems to fascinate him. The book is culled from his diary, and it shows: the text is crammed with casual observations and mundane details of everyday life. It meanders through the year, shapeless and slack. Still, Wallace raises an interesting question-if you said "yes" to everything, would you be prepared to deal with the outcome?

From Booklist
Following up his charmingly offbeat Join Me (2004), in which he inadvertently started a cult, Wallace recounts his year as perhaps the world's most foolishly agreeable person. Lost in the doldrums (for a variety of reasons), Wallace, a British journalist and comedian, realized he was closing himself off from the world. He was turning down invitations, manufacturing wild excuses to get out of having fun. Then came a chance meeting with a stranger who advised, "Say yes more." So Wallace did, embarking on a year-long odyssey of eccentric discoveries, unexpected delights, and a few unsettling experiences. Wallace is an agreeable storyteller, not afraid of presenting himself in an unflattering light (especially if he can make us laugh). If this were a novel, we would probably shake our heads and call it ridiculous. But it's all true (saying yes really did lead to the author's winning $48,000), and it's thoroughly entertaining. Kindle warning: typos.. typos everywhere
By Amazon Customer
I was rather disappointed by this book. I loved the Jim Carrey movie version, so I had high expectations for the book. However, I found the naive attitude of the author really annoying. Saying yes to what is clearly a Nigeria type scam because you've vowed to say yes to everything is one thing. But the whole part where he portrayed it as if he actually believed it could be real was just too stupid. This was a recurring annoyance throughout the book.
And a warning to the Kindle readers: This edition contains horrid amounts of typos. Not just one or two pr page, more like 20-30 pr page... Really annoying. It is also difficult to see where a new paragraph begins, and hence it can be confusing when the action moves between past and present and you don't see any indication of this in the way the text is displayed on the page.

Typos and price change plus horrible Amazon Customer Support!
By ROBERT LEE NELSON
Typos, typos and more typos! At the beginning of the book the typos were sporadic which I excepted as part of an ebook but by the time I got to Ch. 17 there were so many typos and so distracting I gave up and called Amazon for a refund. Prior to calling I was going to check the reviews to see if anyone else had experienced the same problem. I was quite surprised to see that the price of the book I had purchased two weeks ago had dropped from $17.99 to $3.99. The only thing worse than the typos and dramatic price differential was the Amazon Customer Support. I spent 40 mins, yes 40 mins, to get this problem resolved. I estimate 20 mins of that time was being put on hold, 10 mins of explaining the problem (several times), 5 mins of identify typos (which, the way the representative was asking made me feel as though he thought I was lying) and less than 5 mins providing the refund as a solution. Oh, and the topper, as the representative was telling me whether the refund was coming or not, his phone disconnected but he did not call me back; I had to call Amazon again. The whole experience has me not wanting to purchase an Amazon ebook again.

A story about a life changing challenge that you must read to belive
By Amazon Customer
This books is just plain phenomenal. I came across it after noticing that one of my favorite movies (Yes Man staring Jim Carrey) was loosely based on it. I downloaded the Kindle version with minimal expectations and proceeded to devour it in just a few days. I loved every bit of this book. I loved the author's wit. I love the writing style - a brilliant blend of dialogue, narration and what is going on in his head. But most of all, I loved the story, which was all the more enjoyable and impactful knowing it was pretty much 100% true.
This crazy "bloke" agreed to say "yes" to every suggestion that came his way for several months. As you can imagine, quite an adventure ensued. Crazy parties. Crazy hangovers. Crazy career changes. Crazy travels to crazy corners of the earth. Crazy experiences with new and strange and wickedly interesting people.
You can take in just the "surface level" of what occurred and it'll still be a great and entertaining read. But underneath that are some of the greatest spiritual lessons anyone can receive. By saying "yes" to what life sends our way, we open ourselves to opportunities and experiences that our feeble and fear stricken minds could have never imagined. All we have to do is let go of desperately controlling the path of our lives, and it will venture to levels and places that simply can be orchestrated intentionally.
And, spoiler alert, it also turned into one hell of a love story that any Hollywood movie writer would kill to have dreamed up, which as a hopeless romantic at heart, was my favorite part of this book.
